Sony Xperia X Performance now receiving Android Oreo Over the weekend, Sony released Android Oreo for Xperia XZ and Xperia XZs. Now the Oreo update has been rolled out for Xperia X Performance as well, according to Xperia Blog. Since this is a major software update, the download package will be over 1GB and is rolling out over-the-air in phases, so if the update is not available for your unit yet, dont worry, it will arrive in the coming days. You can check for it manually by heading to Settings>About Phone>System Update.  The update brings Oreo native goodies such as Picture-in-Picture (PiP), notification channels, adaptive icons, notification dots, smart text selection, Autofill API and more. Sony Xperia XZ and XZs start getting Android Oreo Last month Sony begun the process of rolling out Android Oreo starting with Xperia XZ Premium. Now it has rolled out Oreo update for the Xperia XZ and Xperia XZs.  The Oreo update arrives with the build number 41.3.A.0.401 and weighs at around 1232MB. The same build number is said to hit the Xperia X Performance shortly.  The update brings Oreo native goodies such as Picture-in-Picture (PiP), notification channels, adaptive icons, notification dots, smart text selection, Autofill API and more. Sony Xperia XZ and XZs Now Officially Receiving Android Oreo Update Android Oreo has been slowly rolling out to devices, and with it comes a number of improvements to Android. Some of the changes include Picture in Picture support for many applications, access to a new Autofill API, fingerprint gesture support, rootless Substratum through native OMS support, and a whole lot more. Many OEMs have started to roll it out the update to their devices including OnePlus, HTC, and now Sony with the Sony Xperia XZ and the Sony Xperia XZs as reported by users on our forums. Sony’s Xperia XZ1 and XZ1 Compact have refreshed designs and Android Oreo Sony Xperia XZ1 and XZ1 is released 2017 the Compact smart Phone. The main updates to the latest smart Phones are Qualcomm�s Snapdragon 835 processor and refined designs which in the case of the XZ1 include a full metal frame. In addition, the XZ1 pair will be among the first phones to launch with Android 8.0 Oreo already installed. Sony Xperia in addition both phones have Sony�s Motion Eye camera system that first debuted in the XZ Premium earlier in this year. It has a 19MP sensor with Predictive Capture that will take an image a few seconds before you actually hit the shutter button to cut down on missed moments. In addition, the camera can record super slow motion it wraps all of this in a chassis with a 4.6-inch HD 720p display.
